The 2nd Annual Paws N' Pints 5k Fun Run/Walk to benefit Homeless Animals Rescue Team is back! This course winds through the roads surrounding Mustang Sally Brewing Company in Chantilly, VA, with a start & finish right in front of the Brewery! Prior to the race we will have a special instructor led pre-race warm-up by Row House Ashburn! Immediately following the race is a party at the Brewery (open to all), which will feature our very own HART K9Lives Brew on draft, raffles and adoptable animals. Each race participant will receive HART's limited edition race shirt, a coupon for one beer or non-alcoholic beverage of choice, free professional finisher photo, race bib with timing chip, onsite live results, plus the first 100 registrants will get a special event theme reuable bag! Racers of all ages welcome (this is a stroller-friendly course) and well-behaved dogs are encouraged to participate in the 5K and/or relax in the beer garden/outdoor tables (please have a short lead, for safety retractable leashes not allowed). Mustang Sally's famous pinball machines will be open for play and there will be food available onsite- Eugene’s is opening early and the Big Cheese & Two Smooth Dudes Food Trucks will also be onsite. Special Pint glass awards will be given for top M/F finishers and age group winners, in addition to a special prize for our top dog finisher! Mustang Sally will generously donate a % of the HART K9Lives can sales to our rescue - so be sure to take some home to continue the fun of this special day! Mustang Sally will also give a $25 gift card to every person who adopts a pup that day! Register now and we look forward to seeing you there!

About HART
HART is a non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill animal rescue/support group, incorporated in 1990, that takes in and rehomes abused and unwanted dogs and cats. HART works with local veterinarians, foster homes, kennels, and trainers to provide temporary housing, medical care and, where appropriate, training for our animals until s/he is placed in a loving, carefully-screened new home. HART takes in older, sick, and injured animals as well as the readily adoptable and never takes just the pups and kittens, leaving mom behind. We seek to direct our resources where they are most needed and to alleviate or prevent suffering wherever we find it. HART operates with modest overhead expenses, thanks in large part to our strong volunteer corps. The lion’s share of our revenues, 98.1% in the last reporting period, goes directly to benefit our dogs and cats.

I know that running can be a hazardous activity and that I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with running, including, but not limited to, falls, weather conditions including high heat and/or humidity, contact with other participants, the effects of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release release the Paws 'N Pints 5K, the county of Fairfax, and the Homeless Animals Rescue Team, all event sponsors and volunteers, their representatives and successors from all claims or liability of any kind arising out of my participation in this race event though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. Further, I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, or other record of this event for any legitimate purpose without compensation to me. For safety reasons, I agree not to participate with skates, bikes or headsets and all animals in attendance will be well behaved and kept on a short lead (no retractable leashes). I understand that there are no refunds should severe weather cancel the event. I understand that the entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
